I also used this similar layout for my former template, which is likely to be Pixie’s «elder sister», named Dixie.

Try to visit one of blog post page in this demo site. You will see as you scrolled down the page, the (side) background will change at some certain checkpoint. Awesome, eh?

Is it easy to setup?

Of course, you upload and insert your side background image as the normal method, via «Add Media» button in your post / page editor. Insert the image at the point where do you think it suits user’s reading progress.

Any good case?

This unique layout to represent your writing in many subjects. For example, you are a «cooking master» who blogs about recipes and step by step guides how to cook it. you can insert step by step images for every steps on the cooking process. On the content, you coud give a fine description of the steps, and the side background will have a corresponding image to your description. That would make a good blog!

And of course you can use this unique layout for other purposes. Just be creative with Pixie!

I love the idea. I planned to create a new travelling blog, and I think it’s good to use the left background layout for my posts. Can’t wait to release my new blog with Pixie!
